Holiday Cards 2010
- AchieveGlobal Holiday Card Concepts
Multimedia Developer (November 2010)
This was the final design of six concepts created for AchieveGlobal's holiday card. It uses every country that AchieveGlobal has an office in to create a snowflake. The quote from American essayist, Hamilton Wright Mabie, evokes brand values in community and relationships, while also remaining culturally and religiously neutral.
Originally conceived as part of a series that would feature different brightly colored photos of different senior leaders in the company accompanied with statistics about AchieveGlobal's charity. The copy reads "Give. Last year, AchieveGlobal employees volunteered more than 10,000 hours of holiday community service."
This graphic hearkened AchieveGlobal's brand values for community and brand style of clean, simple visual systems. It is playful and fun using a mixture of photography effects and brand typography.
The AchieveGlobal brand often draws in architecture as a creative symbol for the structure their training adds to organizations. This theme makes a reappearance in this concept for the holiday card, which used a wintry urban scene with high contrast behind the striking red logo.
To present these concepts to decision-makers in the marketing department, these ideas were put in a small cleanly-designed catalogue and accompanied with descriptions for easy reference. The entire project was performed at a fraction of the cost of an outside vendor and yielded results that the department felt were better suited for the company's identity. Money was saved and clients were happy... a holiday treat.
